Help Cancel Your Order


Your order begins processing immediately after you click "Place Your Order" on the "Place Your Order" page. If your order contains merchandise, a loan, and an E Gift Card you can only cancel the merchandise portion of your order. The loan and E Gift Card are processed immediately after you click on "Place Your Order" and cannot be cancelled.

During processing time it may be possible to cancel your order (merchandise only), but once the order moves into the shipping process, it cannot be cancelled.

To attempt to cancel your order (merchandise only) during processing:.

  • Sign in to your account.
  • Select "Order History".
  • Locate the order you wish to cancel.
  • If it is still possible to cancel, you will see "Cancel Order" listed on the Available Actions' drop down menu. If "Cancel Order" does not appear, the order is already being shipped and cannot be cancelled.
  • Select "Cancel Order" and follow the instructions.

Credit Card Authorization

When you place an online order, we authorize your credit card to make sure sufficient credit is available. A hold is placed on funds equal to your order total until the order is fulfilled.

If you cancel the order, the time required to remove the authorization is determined by the financial institution that issued your card. Here are estimated time frames for some common payment methods:

Canceled Orders, Mela Artisans Credits, E Gift Cards and PayPal

If you cancel an order that was paid for with Mela Artisans Credits, an E Gift Card and/or your PayPal account, the purchase amount will be credited to your Mela Artisans Credits' account, E Gift and/or PayPal account within 30 minutes of the cancellation.

If you have changed your mind about the order and it is too late to cancel, you can return the unwanted items in accordance with Mela Artisans's return policy.
